    I'm a freelance web developer from Sydney, Australia that focuses on building usable, semantic and fast-loading websites using HTML, CSS, PHP and MySQL.

    • Replica Data Services

      Replica Data Services provide state-of-the-art security and backup for single users to self-hosted enterprise solutions. The site is XHTML 1.0 Strict compliant with an emphasis on a quick load and great accessibility.

      My role on the project included an original design, the development of a from-scratch custom eCommerce solution and customer database.

    • Net Station

      Net Station is the Central Coast's biggest internet café. Providing a range of services from PC usage, troubleshooting & support, PC hardware, regular gaming nights and hosted events, this store needed a website to convey its latest products and happenings to its diverse customer base.

      My role on the project was to design an XHTML 1.1 website with custom content management for staff to be able to keep the website updated with ease. I produced all front-end design and back-end systems for this website, with the exception of the Flash banner. The Flash developer can be found at http://ev4n.com and I recommend his work.

    • Clinical Genomics

      Clinical Genomics required a PSD » HTML template with a lightweight CSS-based design. My role on the project included creating an XHTML Joomla! 1.5.x template from a layered Photoshop file, Joomla! 1.5 configuration and front-end testing.

    I specialise in the following areas of website development:

    • Front-end development:
      • Creating and maintaining HTML, XHTML and XML documents for website architecture and data interchange.
      • Creating and maintaining CSS documents for website design & layout.
      • Progressive UI enhancement with Javascript and development libraries such as jQuery, MooTools and Prototype.
      • Creating templates for popular CMS such as Joomla!, Wordpress and Drupal.
    • Server-side development
      • Creating and maintaining PHP scripts for data-driven website content.
      • Creating and managing MySQL and PostgreSQL databases for populating dynamic websites, CRM tools, custom-tailored applications, email newsletters and more.
      • Installation and extension of open-source applications, particularly Joomla!, WordPress and Drupal.
      • Data syndication; pulling and pushing data from a variety of sources to enhance or build applications. Formats I have worked with include XML, HTML, and open-source APIs. Some tasks I have done include PDF publishing via a third-party, extracting up-to-date stock exchange data with ensuing calculations & formatting.
